The CPRLV is continuing its activities and inviting you to participate. "Cinema and radicalization: How do movies deal with violent extremism?" presentation, May 22, 2020, 2:30 p.m., in English
 
Based on four cinematographic works, this presentation will explore the process of radicalization, trace the emergence of this subject in society, and discover the life paths of the movies’ various protagonists in light of existing theories and concepts dealing with violent radicalization, as well as of the CPRLV’s analytical tools.
 
 
 
 
"Conspiracy Theories and Hate Speech in the Days of the Coronavirus” Part I presentation, May 27, 2020, at 9:30 am, in English
 

In this presentation, we will discuss the wide array of conspiracy theories emerging in the context of the current health crisis, as well as provide concrete illustrations of the hateful, racist and xenophobic comments circulating online in Quebec in connection with this crisis.

Survey: the 404 magazine wants to know your opinion!
 
 
 
As part of the first issue of 404 magazine, a web magazine whose mission is to explore radicalization, violent extremism and hate-motivated acts from a different perspective, we want to explore the theme of "Second Chances" and give a voice to a great variety of people for further reflections. Living together means fighting daily against hate-motivated acts and the exclusion of others. The CPRLV is proud to celebrate the International Day of Living Together in Peace, on May 16, as well as the International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia, on May 17.
